[Product Update] Iguana Release
Iguanas are characterized as a large docile species of lizard – known for excellent sight, compatibility as a pet, and colorful bodies. Affinio’s January product update is all about providing deeper context to your audiences, encouraging a collaborative work approach, and keeping our app user-friendly – influenced by the attributes of its namesake.
The Iguana release brings our interest analytics to a new level by giving Affinio customers the ability to:
- See additional interests through a local lens
- Track strategic benchmarks in more innovative ways
- Expand collaboration by providing a whole new kind of access to the platform

We know that geo-focused strategies are important to many of our users. So this new feature was designed to help you quickly narrow down interests that are significant to the local markets you care about!
Know how passions score at both the global and country levels for a truer perspective on clusters.
Benchmarks are one of Affinio’s most popular capabilities. As a method for seeing how interests you identify actually resonate with your audience, benchmarks can have broad application beyond just studying your owned portfolio or your competitors.
You can now create truly customized groups of benchmarks by any theme (e.g. genre, channel, division, category), and see both individual and group relevance and affinity scores.
We’ve also made some significant changes to the way you can view those benchmarks.
Spread knowledge to more colleagues
Insights from Affinio reports show up in emails, slide decks, and screenshares all the time. But instead of pulling everything out of Affinio to show your colleagues, why not let more of them in?
We now offer Viewer Seats as a way to give more users direct interactive report access in an affordable way. These users will have view-only access to reports for easy sharing without having to train them on how to build a report.
Get big insight from small audiences
Everyone knows and loves the way we cluster large audiences. But we also know that our users are sometimes working with smaller sets of data, whether that be a .csv list of Twitter handles you got from a survey or a super specific location that’s important to you.
For that reason, we’ve lowered our minimum audience size requirement.
